BIR to hold lecture-forum, PSR draw
Iloilo (7 December) -- The BIR Revenue Region 11, in partnership with Central Philippine University, will hold a lecture forum with the theme "Taxpayers as Catalysts of Change towards National Development" on December 10, 3:30 P.M. at the Rose Memorial Hall, CPU.
BIR Information Officer Luchi Ong said the lecture-forum will also include raffle draws for "Premyo sa Resibo" as a way of intensifying public awareness on the importance of getting receipts for purchases to help government in tax campaigns.
Messages will be delivered by CPU President Dr. Teodoro Robles and BIR Regional Director Atty. Glen A. Geraldino.
Other speakers will discuss the Rationale of the Project, Ma. Gracia B. Javier, BIR Asst. Regional Director; Overview of the BIR, Helen Balasa, RDO-74- Iloilo Group Supervisor; Taxpapyers' Basic Obligations, Liezl Libre, Examiner, RDO 75 ? Zarraga, and Mechanics of PSR, Luchi Ong, Head, Taxpayers Assistance Unit.
An open forum will also be held to accommodate questions from the public. (PIA6/ESS)
